EDUCATIONAL MESSAGE-:

"Under the full moon, with Echoes of the witch laughter in the room, We celeberated the halloween night, which was spooky and set the mood right, Little Fluttery bats and scaredy cats , Devilish smiles of the pumpkin fat was how we celebrated halloween day today at Strawberry kidz."

It was a fun activity but besides this there was a larger educational message we had to impart in our children.

Learning should be such that when the child is in the process of learning he/she shouldnt realise that he/she is being educated at that moment rather it should be a moment of joy for him/her.

Keeping this in mind, children enjoyed at the halloween party and also learnt something which you will come across as you read the post ahead. Firstly, I wanted to break the notion that children can only visit their school in the morning. Apart from the regular school timings, children were called at a time during evening before sunset and as they left they could see the difference that it was dark then which otherwise dosen’t happen in regular timings. We wanted to encourage the children to think out of the box in a way that even if it is dark, school is a safe place for them to be in, we dont need to get afraid of our own teachers, darkness is not bad at all because without darkness you cannot realise that there is some bright light.

Also, there was an another reason which needed me to modify the timings. Sometimes children develop a spooky feeling about entering a dark room all alone, looking at their own shadows at night, realising the presence of creatures like reptiles/lizards and other insects around them etc. These fear sometimes grow as years pass by and due to all these fears we are restricted to reach opportunities and success in life sometimes as adults too. So, for eliminating this fear from a stage where it is just a seedling was a better idea in children according to me. We discussed how shadows are created, how these little tiny creatures around us are important for the ecosystem and how harmless are these.

Rather than cribing and making excuses we put in our efforts in each and every small thing related to the school which was also another reason we could celeberate a wonderful halloween . All the teachers were called for the party in an odd hour of the day which also broke the boundaries of time for us.👹👹👹👹
